Q I am a previously published author who’s never had an agent. My novel was published twenty years ago in a ro ugh-draft state, which I vociferously protested against. It did not sell many copies. As I was unhappy with the manner of publication, I reverted the rights. I’m now preparing to query agents with an updated, heavily edited version of my manuscript. Have I jeopardised my chances?
