The Exeter Writers Short Story Competition 2016 is open for stories in any genre except children’s, up to 3,000 words, until the end of February.
Prizes are £500, £250 and £100, with £100 for the best entry by a writer from Devon.
The competition is open to all writers, published and unpublished. All entries must be original and unpublished. Manuscripts sent by post should be double or 1.5 spaced on numbered pages. The writer’s name must not appear on the manuscript. Email entrants should paste the story into the body of the email with all their contact details, story title, word count and payment reference at the top of the submission email. The subject line of the submission email should consist of story title, name and payment reference number.
