BOTTLE IT
How do you maintain the enthusiasm fired up at your writing group between meetings? Julie Phillips has some suggestions
Julie Phillips
Writing groups are great. They fill you with inspiration and motivate you to write. Don’t you wish you could just bottle all that enthusiasm and encouragement and take it away with you to see you through until the next meeting? That’s what this month’s workshop is all about.
Ask each member to bring in with them a jar. The jar can be any size or shape, glass, pottery or plastic, it doesn’t matter. It just must appeal to the person it belongs to. This is where we get creative. Bring in some scissors, glue, sequins, feathers, coloured paper, magazines, felt tip pens and anything that can be stuck to the jar – the brighter and brasher the better. This jar is not for the shy or faint-hearted. It needs to stand out!
