The Ruth Rendell Short Story Competition 2020 is inviting entries.
The prize is £1,000 in the biennial competition from InterAct Stroke Support The competition is for short stories in any genre, up to 1,000 words. All stories must be suitable to be read in a hospital setting. The winner, whose story will be chosen by Margaret Drabble, will receive £1,000 and will be commissioned by InterAct Stroke Support to write four futher stories over the course of a year.
