You heard it here first – winter is coming! It is getting decidedly chilly outside, and the hours of daylight are getting shorter. But don’t be too tempted to put your feet up in front of the fire: winter promises a multitude of wonderful seasonal opportunities, particularly for landscape enthusiasts.
Weather is obviously the key to capturing standout, atmospheric winter landscapes. Snow and frost will transform the landscape into a winter wonderland, while mist or winter storms can produce magical and dramatic light. Depending on where you live, wintry conditions may not occur very often, though, so it is important that you make the most of opportunities when they present themselves. Alternatively, you might decide to visit a colder climate specifically in pursuit of wintry landscapes.
