Leica has announced its fastest camera ever. The full-frame Leica SL3-Sis the sibling of last year’s resolution powerhouse, the Leica SL3. But where its bigger relative is all about the muscle, the Leica SL3-Sis all about speed. The SL3-Sboasts a brand new BSI CMOS sensor with a native resolution of 24.6MP but can produce 48MP and 96MP photographs via pixel shift multi-shot. It has an enviable sensitivity range of ISO 50-200,000, with a dual base ISO (50-560 and 640-200,000). It also inherits the Leica SL3’s triple-tech AF, combining phase detection, contrast detection and object mapping. Perhaps most exciting is that it features a super-fast continuous shooting speed of 30fps – unlike its sibling, it can shoot at 30fps with full AF.
