GHOSTING’S NOT ALL BAD, SAYS JACK MONROE
A few weeks ago I was flicking through my Flipboard app – a handy news digest that you can tailor to the subjects and newspapers you want to read, rather than relying on one source or your friends’ Facebook timelines – and I came across an article on “ghosting”. Curious, I clicked onto it, thinking it might be about fraudsters using deceased identities to commit heinous financial crimes. It wasn’t. It was about dating, and how “ghosting” is the worst thing ever. It’s basically when you stop contacting someone you have been communicating with either online or in real life, without giving an explanation. I thought heinous fraudsters would have made a better article, and thought no more of it.
