How do you raise a happy, gender nonconforming child?
When it comes to parenting a gender non-conforming child, I’ve learned that there’s a fine balance between protecting them and supporting them in who they are. Kids can certainly be cruel. However, it’s the adults creating the narrative that girls and boys should behave and look a certain way.

Parents, teachers, and society as a whole, can struggle with moving away from blue for a boy and pink for a girl. So as important as it is for a child to be brave, the parent also needs to find the courage to confront the root of the problem.
