There’s no place for bisexuals in the extraordinary alternative world of The Lobster. Single people are herded into a mysterious hotel, where they must find a mate of their preferred gender within 45 days – or be turned into animals and released into the woods. A dystopian comedy seems like it’d be tough to pull off, but this all-star cast and brilliant script deliver funny and touching – if gruesome – results. Léa Seydoux (Emma in Blue Is The Warmest Colour) appears as the inscrutably powerful leader of the “loners”, while Rachel Weisz is luminous as a victim of a horrifying regime.
