On Saturday 24 July, thousands of LGBTQI campaigners and allies took to the streets of London for the UK’s first ever Reclaim Pride. Their demand? That the prime minister stop stalling on LGBTQI rights. Protesters had five urgent requests including a ban on conversion therapy and reform of the Gender Recognition Act. They also called for safe haven for LGBTQI refugees, decriminalisation of LGBTQI people worldwide and solidarity with Black Lives Matter.
