Sarah is entrusted with protecting a baby girl who’s being hunted by opposing forces in an interplanetary war.
T he sadly truncated final season of The Sarah Jane Adventures opens with the introduction of a new main character, an artificially grown alien child bio-engineered as a doomsday weapon in the centuries-long war between Fleshkind and Metalkind. When both sides come to Earth in search of the child, Sarah Jane takes on the mantle of her protector and, ultimately, adoptive mother, naming her Sky. Brilliant casting introduces the talented 12-year-old Sinead Michael as the fully grown Sky; her winning performance is the absolute highlight of these two episodes.
