Few things in life are more rewarding than for two like-minded individuals to team up on a challenging miniature project. As someone who had longed for a doll’s house since she was little, Michell Bryant couldn’t believe her luck when she spotted the perfect doll’s house in an antique shop. She had promised herself she would get one before she turned 50 and that birthday was looming just around the corner.
“My husband and I love to visit antique shops and I was always keeping an eye open for one,” Michell recalls. “I saw many over the years but none of them seemed just right. I even looked at kits but those never interested me. This visit was different. Someone had started building it years ago, never finished it, and cast it aside. It still had some parts and pieces in a tattered box. It needed lots of work and lots of love, but this was the one!”
