Electronic Sound  |  Issue 35
Our cover star is CONNY PLANK, the legendary producer widely recognised as the chief architect of krautrock whose long list of credits includes Kraftwerk, Neu!, Cluster and Harmonia. We assess the legacy of Plank, who died in 1987 at the age of just 47, and get the inside story on a new documentary about the man they called The Tonmeister which has been produced by his son Stephen. It's a truly fantastic film.
We've got lots of other great interviews elsewhere in this issue, most notably THOMAS DOLBY, the art-punk upstart turned global pop star, and DAVE CLARKE, who John Peel dubbed The Baron Of Techno but whose new album is actually more tech noir than techno. We've also got synthpop diva ALISON MOYET, Fuck Button fella ANDREW HUNG and KEVIN GODLEY of Godley & Creme fame, plus GRANDBROTHERS, SEAN McLUSKEY, RONI SIZE and much more besides.
