MUGGING UP
I’ve been spotting Nkuku homeware for a while now in those strictly non-chain shops you tend to find tucked away in market towns, but they have their own store in Totnes, Devon, and you can buy it all online, too. Top of my list to look out for are the Indigo Drop mugs, handmade in Vietnam. They’re squat yet elegant and just the right size, but the whole chinaware range is gorgeous. Visit their website – but not if you suspect you might be in un-reined-in spending mode. ‘Drop’ china, from £12.95 for a short mug (bottom left), nkuku.com
