SURVIVING A ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE
A professor of epidemiology and member of the advisory board of the Zombie Research Society, Dr Tara Smith sheds some light on how an apocalypse might emerge and what to do if it does
Where could a zombie virus originate? Most likely is zoonotically. That’s where emerging viruses, about 75 per cent, come from. The new viruses that we know of are coming from other animal species. Lots of rodents, lots of bats, sometimes other species like birds. But that’s where we’re finding a lot of these new species.
