IN 1995, KORN played their first UK headlining show at the now-defunct Astoria 2 in London.
Since then, they’ve become not just the godfathers of nu metal, but one of the most important and legendary metal bands of all time – something they’ll celebrate with a 30th anniversary show at LA’s BMO Stadium in October. But their wait to headline a massive outdoor show or festival here has been so lengthy, you could be forgiven for thinking that it might never happen.
A strong supporting cast helps to pull off a memorable event, and Korn have done their best to curate one. Unfortunately, Floridian hip hop superstar Denzel Curry pulls out on the day, something many metallers are fine with, but his inclusion here would surely have improved the undercard.
