The head of business development at Abellio, the company which operates ScotRail, was forced to miss a meeting of the Lochaber Transport Forum last week ather getting stuck in Glasgow because of train disruptions, writes Neill Bo Finlayson.
Scott Prentice was due to meet with members of the forum last Tuesday in a much-anticipated meeting to discuss the West Highland Line Review and the group’s previous meeting with Alex Hynes, managing director of Abellio.
However, Mr Prentice faced long delays at Glasgow Queen Street which meant he was unable to take the train to Fort William. He then attempted to use the bus service to make his way north but was refused on board as the bus was full and he had not pre-booked a seat.
