Tony Bassett is a thriller writer from North Kent whose second novel, The Lazarus Charter, has just been published. His lifelong fascination with words drove him into a long career in journalism and he is now a life member of the National Union of Journalists.
‘My day begins with an hour’s walk around my country village on the edge of London,’ he says. ‘Then I spend an hour or two catching up with the day’s news, handling emails and interacting on social media. Several hours are then spent writing with an aim of achieving at least a thousand words a day. Later I’ll spend time reading other authors’ works.
