Arran Heritage Museum is now able to proceed with extension plans after a £10,000 donation from the Arran Trust fund – the biggest single award ever given by the organisation.
The plans were put in place almost a year ago to assist the museum in building stores to help with growing archives and to provide a new space for the study of historical material.
The proposed cost of building works was between £25,000 and £30,000 and, thanks to the Arran Trust’s donation, this will now go ahead in the autumn.
