If you ask someone where they feel happiest, calmest and most at peace, the answer is often by the sea. But, with time, the coastlines we’ve grown to love have started to change as a direct result of our consumption. Will we still pine for fresh air and salty chips if we have to wade through carrier bags and cigarette butts to find a clean patch of sand? Will we brace ourselves for a dip in the chilly water if the water is riddled with bottles and tampon applicators? Will deckchairs and beach huts become a thing of the past, left to rot and ruin because, in fact, nobody wants to be beside the seaside…?
If you care about our beaches and oceans, now is the time to start fighting for them.
