Things have changed in the three years since Claudia Brücken and Susanne Freytag last performed in Berlin during their comeback’s initial stages. On one hand, there’s been a pandemic, reducing attendances for most acts and doubtless accounting for the deflating choice to seat most of tonight’s crowd. On the other, they’ve a celebrated new album, The Heart Is Strange, meaning this time they can draw upon more than just 1985’s memorable debut, A Secret Wish.
