Dante Magazine DANTE Summer 2018 Back Issue

English
3 Reviews   •  English   •   Art & Photography (Art)
Summertime and the living is easy. This season, we present the latest in our occasional series of Art Issues.
We offer no apologies for including interviews that offer unqualified praise for artists who are worth getting to know better. As we’ve said before, if DANTE introduces you first to amazing figures, well, we’ve done our job. Especially if you read about them here and in six months’ time you see them somewhere else and recall “I read about this in DANTE first!”
In our cover story, we meet artist and photographer Mustafa Sabbagh.
He was once an assistant to Richard Avedon. Mustafa tells Massimo Gava about his concept of adding to the Ten Commandments with Number XI, entreating us all to “Never Forget.”
For our music section, we again turn fan and frankly sing the praises of the talented and flamboyant virtuoso Joseph Tawadros.
This multi-instrumentalist introduces us to the oud. He is the first
world-music artist to present a solo original concert at the BBC Proms.
Helaine Blumenfeld is one of the most accomplished of sculptors. Our introduction to her comes via her son, the TV producer Remy Blumenfeld, who has his own relative-values reflections to impart.
Plus much, much more...

Like The Economist for people with style

Like The Economist for people with style. Good range of topics and easy to flick through - very nice! Reviewed 16 March 2016

A great magazine

A great magazine – not about a poet of the past but a clever look into the future with informed predictions on just about everything. The app does it justice too. Reviewed 16 March 2016

The best all life and all style mag!

As an Italian who now lives in the UK,
having Dante magazine as an app
allows me to read topics that won’t get
a look-in in other magazines.
I can also keep in touch with global trends
and names of the future.
It is really smooth and easy to get around,
with good interactive elements.
I love the consistently well written
features by respected journalists.
The app covers loads of sections from
Art, Culture, Film, Travel and more…
So I never miss out on anything!
