The weather is perfect in spring and autumn, but even during the highs of summer, breezy Malaga doesn’t suffer from the suffocating heat of its big sister Seville.


They’re a bit of a thing in Malaga. The one at the AC Hotel Malaga Palacio ( is great for views – but don’t fall in the pool; it’s not cool. For a less well-known spot, take the winding back lane to Oasis Backpackers Hostel ( The views aren’t as good but it has a great atmosphere and does as good a goldfish bowl G&T as anywhere else in town.
