When last year’s first lockdown was announced, presenter, DJ and empowerment coach Ashley James and her new boyfriend of four months, Tom Andrews, made the spontaneous decision to move in together. But they could never have imagined the joy that would follow that decision as now, exclusively in HELLO!, the proud new parents introduce their son Alfie Rivers Andrews for the very first time.
“I love being a mum. There’s no part of motherhood I don’t enjoy; I even love being up in the night with him,” smiles Ashley, cradling the beautiful baby, who was born six days after his due date at 1.52pm on 9 January, weighing in at a bonny 9lb 5oz – making him one of the biggest babies to be delivered naturally at London’s Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. “Before he came along, I suffered from anxiety, but now I feel calm and content, as if I was made to be a mum.
