Flanked by family and fellow politicians, the new Commander-in-Chief greets his fellow Americans with a call for unity
This was an inauguration like no other. As Democrat Joe Biden was sworn in as the 46th President of the United States, a field of flags fluttered in front of Capitol Hill, where usually throngs of cheering crowds would gather. The guests on stage stood socially distanced, wearing masks, alongside some of the country’s former leaders – with one conspicuous exception.
