SNUGGLE UP IN STYLE
The wine rack is stocked with Shiraz, the giant Le Creuset casserole has been hauled out from the back of a cupboard and the porch is stacked with logs, ready for our very first open fire: the Richmond household is officially Ready For Winter. We put in the fireplace in sunny April, so haven’t used it yet! It’s a repro rather than the real thing – not just because they’re cheaper, but also because antique inserts are liable to crack with use (according to the uber-knowledgable man at the reclamation yard). So, we are ready to accessorise our fireside armchairs with all manner of rug, cushion and throw action.
