Liverpool FC Programmes  |  vs Real Madrid UCL 24/25
UEFA Champions League football is back at Anfield on Wednesday evening, with the current league phase leaders taking on the reigning champions.
The official matchday programme is the must-have souvenir for the Reds’ clash with holders Real Madrid as the teams come face-to-face in L4 on matchday five.
Inside, we hear from Cody Gakpo as he reflects on the Reds’ excellent start to the season at home and in Europe, while Kostas Tsimikas reflects on making strides under Arne Slot and also reveals the former Real Madrid man who was a boyhood inspiration.
Skipper Virgil van Dijk previews the game in his regular column while head coach Slot also shares his thoughts ahead of the clash with Los Blancos.
With this season marking 60 years in Europe for LFC, there is a look back at the quarter-final clashes with Cologne in 1965, a tie made famous for Liverpool winning on the toss of a coin after three epic fixtures.
We also look back at a memorable Euro night from November 1969 when Bill Shankly’s side produced a rousing fightback against Vitoria Setubal only to go out of the European Fairs Cup on the away goals rule.
Elsewhere, we reflect on Xabi Alonso’s return to Anfield earlier this month and Liverpool’s stunning victory over Bayer Leverkusen, take a look back at some of the other highlights from matchday four, bring you all the latest from the UEFA Youth League and hear from Lewi Pike, LFC fanatic and frontman of The Cheap Thrills.
