No prizes are awarded for guessing where the inspiration behind this cover for the 1974 album by avant-garde jokers The Residents came from. Badged with the glorious tagline ‘The First Album by North Louisiana’s Phenomenal Pop Combo’, band member Homer Flynn set out to create a sleeve that would command attention. He memorably succeeded, meeting his brief with a defaced and barely disguised Dada-esque parody of the Fab Four’s Meet The Beatles cover.
