Parchment Craft  |  January 2014
Here’s wishing you all a very happy, healthy and prosperous 2014. If one of your resolutions was to be more productive with your parching, then take a look at what’s inside this issue.
Your magazine begins with a design by Josie Davidson. It’s an oval shaped grid work design finished with punched flower decorations,
which I believe is suitable for all levels, and if to be given as a gift can be adapted to suit the occasion.
I’ve selected a couple of designs for those of you who love flowers, notably a white work card by Helen Osborne; her design favours January’s flower of the month the snowdrop and the gemstone garnet. If you want a splash of colour, you’ll love Kay James’ beautifully coloured fuchsia.
Of course, no issue would be complete without the inspirational
Talent Spotters page, where this month we introduce Singaporean designer Mari Sakai. In addition to all of the above there’s a retrospective look at a piece of work originally published in 2005 by Tina Cox, Josie Davidson’s Workshop, and the popular We Talk To… page dedicated to Pat Murphy.
Do keep an eye out for many more exciting, new, and wonderful projects in 2014.
