If games were established and self-referential enough to have their own version of SNL, Virginia might feel like a parody. It’s handcrafted from all the things that make Steam reviewers testy: it’s short, story heavy and contains more than one woman. But even if the lack of dialogue occasionally makes Virginia feel like a two-hour cold open, there’s enough atmosphere here to make it worth investigating, especially if your idea of a good time is sitting in a diner contemplating life’s unspoken complexities. 64
