ow can a bed be smart? Well, it always helps to have a hub – and the Eight Sleep Pod 4 is a bedside hub that pumps water around a mattress topper to warm you up or cool you down. With two zones, bedfellows can even pick different temperatures… and this new Ultra model goes one further by adding a motorised base that can gently lift you.
My first thought was: “I can’t test that – I won’t get it up the stairs.” Then I realised it works with your current bed rather than replacing it. That said, it’s still huge. The makers offer a 30-day trial, but it’s hard to imagine sending this thing back – carrying it once is bad enough.
