One of the delights of being published is getting feedback from readers, but this is, as you can imagine, both a blessing and a curse. You might be surprised to hear someone would put pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard) to let me know how much they dislike my books, but it happens. I had an email from a very odd person who was so offended by the first in my crime series that he felt compelled to buy the rest to see if the content in the next three was equally disturbing. As he said in his irate message: ‘Any decent person would be on edge reading your work.’ Well, yes, that’s the idea. The clue is in the genre: crime/thrillers.
