Five years ago Sara and Stephen Green decided they wanted to look for a more substantial family home, having outgrown their modern property on a new development. ‘We were in a newish three-bedroom house already but wanted to move to this part of town for the schools,’ explains Sara. ‘We didn’t really know what we wanted – just something with more room, in the right part of town,’ she adds. When they came to view their Victorian home in October 2010 – which at the time was nothing more than a neglected wreck – the couple could never have imagined it would eventually become their dream family home. ‘It had been completely untouched for years but we could really visualise what it could be like,’ says Sara. ‘I adore Victorian properties and it had so much potential. It was my dream house really!’
This semi-detached house is quite deceptive, with a narrowish tall town house feel from the front, but with three big double bedrooms, a beautiful bay fronted, very spacious, living room, and a stylish dining room that leads into a kitchen at the back of the house.
