Welcome
Three cheers for our mothers, grannies and more! This issue we’re celebrating our female relations and cherishing both sides of our family trees…
Just where would we be without the women in our family trees? With surnames traditionally handed down the male line, and with mothers’ names often missing from important family history documents, it means that it’s very much easier to trace men than women in the records. Yet without remembering and researching the lives of our foremothers we’re only learning half the story of our family histories.
