TRACK GUIDE NAVARRA CIRCUIT
Boothy was aiming for the bar…
The circuit of Navarra, an hour or so from Bilbao in northern Spain, is a relatively new facility. And as such, having been running for only a few years, everything is pretty much brand new, with decent everything, crappers included!
The 3.9km track itself is rather interesting, and somewhat reminiscent of Valencia (albeit with some appreciable elevation changes), featuring a long front straight, some fast big-balls corners but also a lot of tight and technical points, too, with some late apexes that force you to wait a sliver before gunning it.
In the first few laps, the tight parts really get your attention, though you eventually get to love them. It’s a layout and surface that really puts the emphasis on handling and stability, especially as the multitude of cars that regularly use the place have rippled up the surface in several areas making some stretches, er, interesting to say the least.
