It was straight off the back of a fantastic test in Spain that we headed over to the Isle of Man for the TT launch event. It’s always really good fun, but in recent years it’s got mega, mega professional and a lot more commercialised, and sometimes it seems as though a lot of the lads are just reading from a bit of a script when they are on the stage or getting interviewed and what have you. I understand why people feel the need to be like that. There is big money involved when it comes to sponsorship and we need to show that we are taking the job seriously, but it’s a shame that we don’t get to see people’s characters as much as we used to. That said, I hope I came across fairly professional at the launch, because I am taking the racing really seriously.
