On a recent Wednesday night, I found myself sitting in a room full of journalists, neuroscientists, food experts and wellness practitioners. Unsurprisingly, it’s not how I typically spend my midweek evenings, but I was there to investigate a rather big claim.
I was at an event to promote Sentia’s GABA Gold, a drink that’s said to give you that tipsy feeling of having had a few drinks (it “elevates your mood” in Sentia’s words) without any of the downsides of consuming alcohol (whether that’s a mild headache from a couple of glasses of red or a heavy hangover from overindulging on IPAs). It has next to no calories, tastes good and is made entirely of healthy natural ingredients.
