Hypnagogic Hallucinations

Grotesque and lurid visions from the deepest pits of Rome
Bedsore have clearly emerged from some ancient mausoleum with a fully formed debut channelling a grotesque and majestic power. Kicking off with an ominous intro reminiscent of a vintage Italian horror flick, the aptly titled Hypnagogic Hallucinations sets itself apart from the very start before lurching into a mix of black and death metal that’s gruesomely heavy but also deeply, malignantly progressive. Deft changes of tone and pace abound, with bleak empty spaces and unnerving leads rubbing up against moments of borderline prettiness. Bedsore cause you to wonder whether reality is warping at the edges, making this a blasphemous vision rendered in lurid stained glass.
