IN FLAMES
Anders Friden’s merch company, Clayman Limited, has been keeping people entertained by posting colouring-in pages on Facebook. Here’s one they’ve produced exclusively for Hammer
HOW DID YOU COME UP WITH THE ILLUSTRATION?Anders Fridén: “It’s a collaboration between me and my friend Mark Kowalchuk. We run Clayman Limited, and he’s the artist. I can’t draw for shit, but I can come up with ideas.”
WHAT IS CLAYMAN LIMITED?
“We put out limited editions of shirts - when they’re sold out, they’re sold out. It represents me and Mark’s vision, and the part of me that’s In Flames, of course. Clayman [the name of In Flames’ 2000 album], that’s pretty much me. It’s been with me for 20 years, but I think I’ve been that Clayman way longer. It represents a person who’s trying to fit into this world, and sort of mould yourself to suit others in different situations. I think that’s a lot of who we are, but we should try to be ourselves as much as possible instead. I guess you learn that with old age.”
