Golf Course Architecture  |  July 2016
Golfers have waited a long time to see their favourite game played as part of the world’s greatest sporting festival. Following the reintroduction of golf to the Olympic schedule for the first time in more than a century, the main feature in our July 2016 edition focuses on what the inclusion at Rio 2016 means to the game. Gil Hanse’s design has been a major talking point in the industry for a number of years, and Adam Lawrence discusses what to expect, and the importance of the event being a success at the games.
Also in this issue, our cover features the course at Turnberry, where Martin Ebert has led a project to create new holes at the famous Scottish course. We visit Christian Althaus’s first solo design at Hofgut Georgenthal near Frankfurt, Germany, and hear from leading figures in the industry, including Rees Jones, John Sanford and Kevin Holinaty.
