Solid as an Andy LaRocque
Finally, somebody caught up with Andy LaRocque [June 2025]. As a lifelong guitar player, when somebody asks me who’s missing and underrated, Andy is always in my top five. Part of King Diamond’s long success and still-touring relevancy, I credit to Andy, always being there as King’s wingman for almost four decades. His melodic fretboard gymnastics have always been incredible and stand alone in this genre. Every time I’ve seen him live, he just absolutely nails it. Thanks again to Guitar World for catching up with him — and maybe introducing him to some younger players who don’t know his work yet
