As the daughter of Dame Joan Collins and Anthony Newley, she grew up surrounded by stardom and the dazzling world of Hollywood royalty. But when Tara Newley opens the doors to her beautiful country home for this exclusive interview and photoshoot, she tells hello! that it wasn’t the bright lights of London or Los Angeles that brought her love and happiness, but a gentler pace of life in a Somerset village.
‘I got away ‘from everything to find out what really matters to me - and that’s my family and my writing’
“Stepping away from the limelight and having time to quietly contemplate in the countryside was the best thing I could have done,” she says.
“After being around these incredibly twinkly, fabulous people, it took me a while to establish who I am. I got away from everything to find out what really matters to me - and that’s my family and my writing.”
Welcoming us into the vibrant home she shares with her fantasy science-fiction author husband Nick Arkle and her children Miel, 22, and Weston, 17, the producer, poet and screenwriter is bursting with excitement after making her debut as an author with Radio Honey.
