Olympian Michelle Griffith-Robinson discusses her shock diabetes diagnosis

Diabetes was not on the radar for triple-jumping Olympian Michelle Griffith-Robinson. So when the 50-year-old mother of three, now a life coach and personal trainer, was diagnosed with prediabetes in 2018, it came as a shock.
“I was absolutely astonished,” she tells HELLO!. “What, me? An Olympian? A fit woman, size 10-12? You’ve got to be crazy!”
Promoting awareness about type two diabetes and its risk factors, the Diabetes UK and Fitbit ambassador – who recently completed the One Million Step Challenge, raising funds for the diabetes charity after taking an average of 10,700 steps daily – speaks to us about breaking the stigma around this health condition.
