When it comes to keeping fit, presenter and actress Nadia Sawalha is all about taking it step by step, as she tells HELLO! in an exclusive chat about her midlife mindset and the importance of moderation

‘I’ve just started weight training, which I’ve been loving. I want to be a strong old lady’
N “Mydad was diagnosed with diabetes 30 years ago, so I have seen what it takes to manage it,” the 57-year old Loose Women star tells hello!. “For years I was a presenter for City Hospital and had so many conversations with doctors about how terrifying the strain would be on the NHS if more of us get diabetes, so it has always been of great interest to me.”
adia Sawalha knows all too well the life-changing impact diabetes can have on those it affects and the people around them.
Spurred on to help, Nadia is taking part in the One Million Step Challenge with Fitbit and Diabetes UK to encourage people to take 10,000 steps every day throughout summer, to get fit and help raise funds to support people with diabetes.
