MAYA JAMA
Announced as new host of Love Island Glow Up
presenter Maya Jama has been confirmed as the new host of ITV hit Love Island. The 28-year-old will begin hosting the South African-set eighth season of the reality show early next year before also fronting the summer series in Majorca.
Announcing the news on Instagram, the former BBC Radio DJ said: “I’ve always been such a massive Love Island fan and I’m so excited to be hosting one of the nation’s favourite shows! I can’t wait to get into the villa to meet all of the islanders.”
Maya had originally been mooted to take over from original host Caroline Flack after Caroline’s death in 2020, but the role went to Laura Whitmore, who hosted three series but announced in August that she would not be returning.
