She’s a Hollyw ollywood heavyweight taking on a starring role in a 1960s-set TV series, but her acting career has never got in the way of academic ambitions
She made her debut in 1994 at the age of 13 in the French thriller Léon: The Professional, directed by Luc Besson, and gained worldwide recognition as Padmé Amidala in the Star Wars franchise in 1999, 2002 and 2005.
Then, in 2010, Natalie Portman won her first Academy Award and her second Golden Globe for her intense portrayal of a fragile and repressed ballerina in Black Swan – and her career has also seen her become an ambassador for French fashion house Dior for more than ten years.
