As the Prince and Princess of Wales step out in London and Scotland, royal-watchers reveal how they have strengthened their relationship by facing adversity together

Stepping out together at Buckingham Palace last week, the Prince and Princess of Wales looked perfectly in sync as they exchanged loving smiles before descending the stone steps side by side to host a garden party.

Prince William and Kate looked more united than ever as they strolled through the grounds, chatting as they mingled with people who had been invited for tea and cake.

Royal-watchers have noted a deepening bond between the couple in recent months, following the challenges of the past year, in which they were dealt the blow of Kate’s cancer diagnosis and subsequent treatment.

And that bond was certainly evident last week as they stepped out together on official engagements in London and Scotland, where William played a supporting role as Kate took the lead in the naming of a naval ship, her husband gently taking her arm as they were greeted by fans.

“They are a team and they support each other – even more so now, after her frightening illness. It really has brought them closer,” royal author Ingrid Seward, editor in chief of Majesty Magazine, tells HELLO!.
