LENA’S HAPPY ENDING
Girls star moves from New York to London, finds romance on a blind date, gets married and writes a new show
If Lena Dunham’s award-winning show Girls candidly explored the messy joys and struggles of New York twentysomethings, her latest show takes a witty look at what women might want in their thirties.
Better still, the Netflix romcom Too Much is set in London and loosely based on her own romance and subsequent marriage to the guitarist Luis Felber.
Their relationship came after a tumultuous time for the star. She had dated the Bleachers musician and producer Jack Antonoff throughout the six seasons of Girls from 2012 to 2017 but their relationship ended soon after her show did. Then, Lena underwent a hysterectomy for endometriosis and entered rehab to treat benzodiazepine addiction.
