Though there isn’t any official requirements for a material to be able to use the term, there are several ways in which a flooring material can be considered eco. This includes the sustainability of the material, the absence of chemical treatments, durability in reducing the throw-away culture of goods, recyclability and waste management on the side of the manufacturer.
