We inherited the kitchen when we bought our cottage and it was dated and tired – it looked more old-fashioned rather than the charming country style I craved. We’d have liked to have built an extension so the kitchen looks over the terrace and has a better connection with the garden, but for now we could only afford a stylish makeover which was budget-friendly.
